Everyone is Irish on the 14th! The 29th Annual Emerald Isle St. Patrick’s Festival is on Saturday, March 14 from 9am-6p.m. at Emerald Plantation. Join in for a fun-filled day for the whole family with amusement rides, Irish food and drink specials, and over 80 local craft vendors plus two stages of live music. Fish on! Sign up now for the annual Get Hooked Fishing School hosted by the NC Aquarium. The popular one-day course on Saturday, March 21, features in-depth presentations by experienced anglers on many aspects of the sport, including topics such as inshore fishing for striper, drum, trout, mackerel and flounder, fly-fishing, and offshore fishing. EMERALD ISLE MARATHON

The Emerald Isle Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5k event is in its 7th year in 2020. Join the race for a beautiful run with beach views and one of the flattest and fastest courses around. This is a Boston Qualifier event so it is sanctioned and certified. Race begins at 7a.m. at the Western Ocean Regional Access area.
